Tod Henry Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 11, 2025.
Tod Windover Henry, 55, passed away on December 6, 2025, quietly at home, after a lengthy illness, in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

Tod was born on April 13, 1970, at Waterbury Hospital, CT, and spent his youth growing up in Wolcott, CT. Tod was the beloved son of the late Sherman M. Henry and Linda W. Henry, both of Wolcott, CT and then South Yarmouth, MA. He was the brother of Hally Whalen and her husband, Steve Whalen, of Mansfield, MA.

Tod leaves behind his longtime companion, Amanda Costello, who lovingly cared for him during his illness. He is also survived by his two nieces and a nephew, Bethany M. Whalen, Laura M. Whalen and Brendan P. Whalen.

Tod attended Wolcott High School, where he was a member of the band. He later graduated from Automotive Training School, as well as Culinary Arts Institute as a chef. Tod's activities included Boy Scouts, Little League, DeMolay, Prospect Drum Corp and Bowling. He had many hobbies, including model rockets, fishing, cooking, and building motorized bicycles.

In 2000, he moved to Cape Cod, where he lived in Dennis and South Yarmouth. Tod and Amanda enjoyed spending time together, including dining out at the local restaurants, late night fishing trips and visits to the beach, and spoiling their cat, Lucy.

Amanda and Tod's family wish to thank Beacon Hospice for their excellent care, and his case manager, Angie, for going above and beyond for Tod's wellbeing. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Beacon Amedisys Hospice (https://regions.billeriq.com/ebpp/amedisysfoun/.) A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
