Todd Alan Brooks

Todd Alan Brooks, 74, a lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe Farms, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy rooted in family and a deep love for the community he proudly called home.

Born April 10, 1951, in Detroit, Todd grew up in and spent his entire life in Grosse Pointe Farms. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn Brooks; devoted father of Alexander Brooks; and proud grandfather of Maximilian and Vivienne Brooks. His grandchildren were the joy of his life and he cherished their daily phone calls on the way to school. Those simple moments meant everything to him.

Todd was predeceased by his parents, George and Patricia Brooks; and brother, Craig Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Brooks; son, Alexander Brooks (Sarah); brothers, Garry Brooks (Susan), Mark Brooks (Jacqueline) and Trent Brooks (Debbie); as well as many extended family members and lifelong friends.

Todd established Brooks Transportation and found great purpose in his work and the relationships he built over the years. Outside of work, Todd was an avid golfer who relished every opportunity to play, especially during his beloved trips to Scotland and Ireland with his brothers. He approached life in his own way - independent, loving and genuine - with a twinkle in his eye those who knew him will never forget.

Above all, Todd was a loving family man who took the greatest pride in those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and his Grosse Pointe community, who were such an important part of his life.

A memorial service will be held this summer.
