Todd Dixon Obituary

In Loving Memory of Todd Neel Dixon

On Sunday, August 31, 2025, Todd Neel Dixon - devoted husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, and beloved friend - was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away at the age of 54, surrounded by love.

Born on May 4, 1971, in Memphis, TN, Todd was the eldest son of Jimmy and Diane Dixon. Faith was the foundation of his life, shaping the way he walked each day and overflowing in the way he loved, served, and generously gave of himself to others. Rooted in the truth of salvation in Christ alone, he lived with steadfast purpose, his life standing as a witness to the hope and grace found in Him.

Todd adored his family, and being a father brought him immense pride and joy. He poured his heart into his children, Neel and Ashlyn, not only as a parent but as a mentor, cheerleader, and coach. In recent years, one of his greatest blessings was becoming a grandfather, affectionately known as "Cubby." He treasured every moment spent with Charlotte Clarice and Elizabeth Ann, delighting in the laughter, love, and joy they brought into his life.

Life for Todd was always in motion. He was an avid cyclist, runner, and triathlete, he competed in marathons, triathlons, and even Ironman events. His passion for health and fitness reflected the way he pursued life - with determination, joy, and contagious enthusiasm.

Todd never met a stranger. His infectious and welcoming smile, warm laugh, and genuine love for people left a mark on everyone he encountered. He was surrounded by a wide circle of friends and found deep joy in his cycling and triathlon community, where he inspired and encouraged others with his discipline and perseverance. Whether on the road, in a race, or sharing a cup of coffee after a ride, Todd built friendships that felt like family. He loved everyone fully, and his friendships were very important to him.

Todd's love of sports extended to the Tennessee Vols and Chicago Cubs. Whether belting out "Rocky Top" on a Saturday afternoon or singing "Go Cubs Go" after a big win, he was always ready to cheer for his teams and rep their gear.

Todd served his country with a season as a Navy Reservist. Professionally, he devoted more than 30 years to nursing, serving others with skill and compassion. His career included roles as a bedside nurse, Cardiac ICU nurse, and OR circulator. He later served as a transplant coordinator, clinical specialist, and most recently as a clinical consultant with Cardinal Health. In every role, Todd's steady presence and commitment to care touched the lives of countless patients, families, and colleagues.

Faith was never something Todd kept to himself; it was lived out in every corner of his life. He selflessly volunteered his time and talents, serving the church as a deacon, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. He loved nothing more than encouraging others in their walk with Christ. His servant's heart carried him on mission trips, into mentoring roles with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Men of Iron, and into the everyday lives of those who needed a listening ear or helping hand. As a devoted member of Shepherd Bible Church, Todd found joy in both serving and worshiping, and his faith continues to inspire all who knew him.

Todd is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, his maternal grandparents Neel & Renate Lee, his in-laws Billy & Clarice Nichols, his uncle Dannie Lee, and his nephew Kenneth Nichols.

He leaves behind a legacy of love: his beloved wife, Julie Nichols Dixon; his children, Lloyd Neel Dixon (Elaine) and Ashlyn Dixon Kennedy (Andrew); his granddaughters, Charlotte Clarice Kennedy and Elizabeth Ann Dixon; his mother, Diane Renate Dixon; his host son, Alex Sirkoon Saiyasak; his brothers, Keith Edward Dixon (Bella) and Timothy Alan Dixon (Joy). Todd also leaves behind a large community of extended family including his nieces and nephews who found him to be their favorite playmate, and a village of friends who he considered family.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Eternal Life at 9:00 a.m. on September 13, 2025, with a service at 11:00 a.m. at Shepherd Bible Church, located at 1035 E. Winchester Blvd. in Collierville, TN. Immediately following, a luncheon will follow at Kirby Woods Baptist Church, 6325 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider donating in Todd's honor to World Bicycle Relief or Shepherd Bible Church.

Todd and I were the best of friend´s. We made time as often as possible to meet for coffee and listened to each other life events. He was always proactive to reach out with encouragement and a word from God that seemed to always be something I needed to boost my confidence. He was focused on and loved serving others and volunteering for our Men of Iron group, bringing us together.

Todd was a work colleague, but more importantly a close and dear friend. He always brought joy to my heart when we were together or sharing text messages and photos. Running and cycling are a passion we both enjoyed. He rented bikes for us when we worked together in Minneapolis, and we shared several great rides. We also shared our faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior. I pray for blessings to be with his family in this time of need. God bless you all.
