Todd Hooper Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 19, 2025.
Todd was born on April 1, 1959 in Asheville, NC. At the age of 9 months, he was adopted by two loving parents, Rainey Howard Hooper and Kathryn Coyle Hooper. Todd spent most of his formative years in the Nashville, TN area, and later the family settled in the Central Florida area. Todd was schooled at Forest Lake Academy and graduated from there in 1979. After graduation, he worked for his best friend and mentor, Kenny Brown. Todd also was a partner in the construction business with his dad.

In 1981, Todd married Susan and remained married for 44 years until he passed. What a saint he was as many can attest to! Years later, he and his dad were the owners of Big Wheel, located in Forest City, FL. After the business was sold, Todd pursued the construction business once again.

ln Todd's semi-retirement years, he kept busy with anyone and anything that needed his help. Mr. "Fix It" could never say "no". Todd loved his family, his friends and his boat, or let's say boats! Any time that he was on the water was a good day for him! He was a character and then some. Todd never met a stranger, could strike up a conversation with anyone, witty to the core and could take you to "church" with his knowledge of the Bible.

Last of all, Todd was kindhearted and had the patience of Job – most times! He was loved by many and will be missed tremendously.

Surviving Todd are his wife, Susan and their son, Broc; Gregg, Gavin, Holly, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and special friends also were all close to his heart.
