Todd Main

1961 - 2024

Todd DuVall Main, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on April 27, 2024, at Kline Hospice House, 7000 Kimmel Road, Mt. Airy, MD, at the age of 63.

He was born April 12, 1961, in Frederick, MD, to Rebecca Fay (Duvall) and Paul Edward Main, and is survived by numerous cousins, close friends and his beloved church families at Calvary UMC and Fairview Chapel. Todd was preceded in death by his sister Shauna, parents, grandparents, Bessie (Burdette) and Roy Edward Duvall, and William H. and Flora (Carpenter) Main.

Todd was educated at Frederick High School, graduating in 1979. Todd had many friends in life, including a group of friends at Frederick High affectionally referred to as "The Bubbies" (Mark

Nichols, Andre Jackson, and Phil Selby). This group of guys were nearly inseparable in high school and the years following, and there are many stories that can be told of their many adventures and escapades. They were truly brothers. He also attended St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Todd was very active with many Christian fellowships including Calvary UMC, Fairview Chapel, "Whole Armor of God Fellowship" in Eldersburg, and Young Life which Todd attended as a "club kid", through high school and then as a leader in the years that followed. Many young men and women were influenced by Todd, with several of them directly attributing their faith in Christ to Todd's example and witness.

Todd worked several different jobs during his career managing the House of Music/Music and Arts, Melart Jewelers, and a very enjoyable stint as substitute teacher at Frederick High School. During his time at Frederick High he was also extensively involved with the football and track programs as an assistant coach.

A Service of Death and Resurrection will be held on Sunday, May 19, at Fairview Chapel, 6802 Boyers Mill Road, New Market, MD 21774. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. with the service starting at 2:00 p.m. A light reception will follow the service.
