Todd Scheff, 63, of Mahnomen, passed away at Fosston Essentia Hospital on May 3, 2025.
Todd was the youngest of four sons born to Reuben and Lorraine (Hogenson) Scheff. Except for a brief time away at college, he spent his entire life on the family farm. He farmed alongside his father until Reuben's passing in 2013, and afterward continued to operate the dairy, beef, and grain farm until his health made it physically impossible. Todd had a deep knowledge of farming and took great joy in sharing it with others.
A few years ago, Todd met the love of his life, Shari Hall. Their relationship brought him great happiness and support, especially in his later years. As Todd's health improved, he looked forward to the fall season with excitement, eager to return to hunting and trapping-two of his favorite pastimes. More recently, he also discovered a love for traveling and had been planning several future trips with Shari.
Todd was a devoted brother, uncle, and great-uncle who cherished spending time with his family and friends. His presence in the community was a source of warmth and wisdom, and he will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and resilience.
He is survived by his significant other, Shari Hall; and his brothers Robert (Jane) of Memphis, IN, and Kim (Lorriann) of College Park, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Lorraine, and his brother, Daniel.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Todd will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
