Todd G. Smith

WISCOY - The Honorable Todd G. Smith, town justice for the Town of Hume, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (Dec. 24, 2025) in his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1967, in Lakenheath, England, the son of Floyd Smith and Clara Skinner. On Sept. 9, 1989, in the Town of Eagle, he married Kelly Cornell, who survives.

Todd was a member of the Local 33 Iron Workers Union and co-owner of Triple S Security. Todd represented the essence of hard work and commitment. His professional endeavors were complemented by a personality that radiated warmth and generosity.

Todd was not only a skilled fence craftsman but also a father figure to many, always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. He embodied what it meant to be an excellent neighbor and friend, known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to offer support.

Todd was deeply passionate about his hobbies and interests, which played an important role in shaping his vibrant life. He found joy in pulling garden tractors, participating as a member of the WNY Garden Tractor Pullers.

His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for hunting, whether it was for deer or geese. His many dogs held a special place in Todd's heart, and he cherished the companionship of his two most recent loyal friends, Jasper and Greg.

In addition to his love for animals and outdoor activities, Todd valued his connections with others. He was a member of the NRA and attended Fillmore Wesleyan Church, often watching services online, and attending men's meetings.

His love for family was the cornerstone of Todd's life; he treasured every moment spent with his loved ones and worked tirelessly to cultivate a warm and loving environment for them.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife are their children, Ashley (fiancé Bryan Kean) Smith of Buffalo, Nathan (fiancé Jessica Bessette) Smith of Java Center and Senett (Eric Mietz) Smith of Colorado; an expected grandson; a sister, Denise (Scott) Holman of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a stepfather, John Perry.

Family and friends may gather from 1 to 3 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (Jan. 2, 2026) at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, in the Fillmore Wesleyan Church. Pastor Mark Harley will officiate. Burial will be in Wiscoy cemetery, Wiscoy. The family has requested that casual or comfortable attire be worn for the funeral.

Memorials if desired may be made to Fillmore Rescue Squad or the Wiscoy Rossburg Fire Department.
