Tom Loflin Obituary
Jewell Thomas Loflin, age 71, of East Prairie, MO, died Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Southgate Nursing Center in Caruthersville, MO.
Born March 26, 1954, at Charleston, MO, to the late Jefferson Clarence "J.C." Loflin and Ida Bell Hammontree Loflin, he had lived in East Prairie his entire life and had owned and operated Loflin Appliance.
On September 9, 1972, he married Laura Lee Phillips who preceded him in death on May 3, 2018.
Surviving are his children, Charles Thomas Loflin, Timothy Allen Loflin, Michael Wade Loflin, Jerry Wayne Phillips, Jr. and Pamela Jean Phillips; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, James Loflin and his sisters, Brenda Nichols and Mabel Holmes; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was inpreceded in death by his brothers, Jeffie Jr. Loflin, Jimmy Loflin and Kenneth Wayne Loflin and his sister, Barbara Ann Loflin Shands. .
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Keith Cook will officiate.
Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston, Mo.
