Tom Robinson, 77, passed away on July 25, 2025, in Naples, Florida. Born on June 29, 1948, in New York, New York, Tom lived a full and spirited life marked by dedication to his country, love for his family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Tom served during the Vietnam Era from 1968 to 1971. His service was a defining chapter in his life, and he remained connected to fellow veterans through his active membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.), Post #7721. His commitment to service and camaraderie with fellow veterans was a source of pride throughout his life.
Tom shared over three decades of marriage with his beloved wife, Gloria Robinson. Together they built a strong and loving family that includes their children and five grandchildren, with one more grandchild expected soon. Tom especially cherished weekends as opportunities to spend time with his family-moments filled with laughter, storytelling, and togetherness.
Known for his signature cowboy hat and boots, Tom had a personality as distinctive as his attire. He found joy in watching old western movies that echoed the rugged charm he admired. Sundays were reserved for football games-a tradition he rarely missed-and he loved being out on the water boating and fishing whenever he could. A natural handyman, Tom also enjoyed repairing things around the house or helping others with their fix-it needs.
Tom's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him best-his family, friends, fellow veterans at V.F.W. Post #7721, and all who shared in his passions and pastimes.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff and doctors at NCH Downtown Hospital for their compassionate care during Tom's final days.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life well lived. A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Palm Royale Funeral Home & Cemetery 6790 Vanderbilt Beach Rd. Naples, FL 34119.
