Tom Wilkens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Liston Funeral Home - North Ridgeville on Oct. 23, 2024.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tom G. Wilkens. Tom passed at the age of 78 at his home in North Ridgeville, OH, surrounded by family. He was born on October 13, 1946 in Lakewood, OH, to Tom and Charlotte (Nee White) Wilkens.
Tom met his loving wife, Loreen (Nee Bossinas) of 53 years in High School before leaving to serve in the Air Force. They married when he returned from Korea and settled in Sheffield Lake to start their family. Not long after, they moved to their home in Avon, where they lived for 47 years before recently downsizing to a home in North Ridgeville.
Tom worked on the assembly line at the General Motors Chevy plant in Parma and retired from there as a Millwright. He spent his free time with family and friends and loved crossword puzzles and the outdoors. He especially cherished fishing and spending time at the cabin he helped his father build in Canada. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1079, and was fondly known as "The Mayor" of Fuzzy's Tavern.
Survived by: wife Loreen (Nee Bossinas); son Tracy (Wife Kimberly (Nee Knaack)) Wilkens; daughters Tina Wilkens and Tabitha (Wife Kimberly Files) Wilkens; grandchildren Nicholas, Emily, Holly, Brittany, Kassandra, Jessica, Owen, Sean, Racheal and Olivia; sister Becky (Husband Ken) Rothkegel; nieces and nephews.
Preceded by: father and mother, Tom and Charlotte (Nee White) Wilkens, and step mother Mary.
