It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Tom Buco. He was born in Teaneck, NJ to Antonietta Gallo Buco and Tommaso Buco and raised in Hackensack, NJ.
Throughout his life, Tom was an incredibly hard-working, driven individual who loved to find time for fun and adventure. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, golfing, fishing, gardening, hiking, being outdoors and was deeply inspired by music. Tom was a man of immense compassion and warmth. He had a gift for making others feel seen and valued, and his kindness knew no bounds. Whether offering mentorship, friendship, or simply a listening ear, Tom touched countless lives with his empathy and grace.
Tom was a proud and devoted father to his children, Daniel and his wife Kalie Buco, Jeffrey and his wife Caitlin Buco, Stephanie and her husband William Bolinder and his step-daughter Rachel and her husband Stephen Cronin. He cherished his role as a grandfather, aka "Pop Pop", to his 11 grandchildren, Skylar, Brynn, Emma, Lily, James, Natalie, Connor, Sadie, Thomas, Mac and Emily.
Throughout his remarkable career, Tom was a pillar of the flavor and fragrance industry - admired not only for his expertise but for the creativity, and relentless dedication that leaves an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work alongside him. Tom's leadership helped shape the very foundation of his company, Excellentia. The values he instilled - integrity, kindness, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence - continue to guide and inspire the company each day.
His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever remain woven into the fabric of our hearts, our family and his company. We will always cherish his laughter, his wisdom and the light he brought into every room.
A Memorial Visitation celebrating Tom's life will be held on Monday, October 27th, from 4:00–8:00 PM, with a Service at 7pm, at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, NJ (https://www.tuttlefh.com).
Tom's legacy of love, strength and wisdom will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him, the many people he inspired and the enduring example he set.
