Tommie Lee, born on April 2, 1938, in Lumberton, NC, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, in
Hendersonville, NC, at the age of 86.
Tommie dedicated much of his life to serving his country and community. He proudly served in the United States Navy before retiring with honor. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service by working for the United States Postal Service, from which he also retired.
A man of faith, Tommie was a devoted member of the Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he found strength and fellowship throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn E. Lowder Lee. He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him dearly: his sons, Chris Lee and daughter-in-law Pamela of Belmont, NC, and Robert Lee and daughter-in-law Rebecca L. of Aledo, TX. He is also survived by his treasured grandchildren, Sam T. Lee of Belmont, NC, and Emily A. Lee of Aledo, TX. Additionally, Tommie is survived by his brother, Mack B. Lee of St. Pauls, NC.
Tommie will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to his family and his unwavering sense of duty to his country and community. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Marilyn E. Lowder Lee, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, in Fletcher, NC, at the age of 91. Born on July 2, 1933, in Albemarle, NC, Marilyn lived a life marked by dedication to her family and community.
Marilyn's career included meaningful work with Southern Airways and Fletcher Hospital, where she contributed to the well-being of many. Her steadfast faith was evident through her active membership with the Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she found a spiritual home and community.
She is survived by her loving sons, Chris Lee and his wife Pamela of Belmont, NC, and Robert Lee and his wife Rebecca L. of Aledo, TX. Marilyn's legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren, Sam T. Lee of Belmont, NC, and Emily A. Lee of Aledo, TX, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Marilyn is also survived by her dear brother, Robert Ray Lowder of Crescent City, CA, who shared in many of her life's memories.
Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Marilyn's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
