Tommy Jesters Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 10, 2025.
Memorial services for Tommy Jesters, 68, of Kilgore, Texas, will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, Texas, with Rev. Scott Schulik officiating.

Thomas Dean was born on July 17, 1957, in Longview, Texas. He passed from this life on October 6, 2025, in Longview. Tommy was born to the marriage of Farrell Dean Jesters and Bettie Jane Jesters (Bozarth). He was raised in Longview and graduated from Pine Tree High School. Tommy recently retired as a pipefitter after more than 40 years in the industry. He was an avid NASCAR fan and motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed sharing stories from his motocross racing days. Tommy had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, and could find laughter in nearly any situation.

Though he had many lifelong friends, his greatest joy was always found in his family. He often referred to his mother as his hero and angel, believing that heaven surely doesn't have a crown big enough for her. His sister Deana was his constant source of encouragement, and his brother Mike often joined him in his practical jokes. Tommy's world revolved around his children and grandchildren, who were truly his pride and joy, and those grandchildren sure loved their "Papa T".

Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Farrell Dean Jesters; grandparents Kenneth and Helen Hall; great-grandparents Charles and Edna Bishop; and stepfather Charles Bozarth. He is survived by his mother, Bettie Bozarth of Longview, Texas; daughter Shanda Hill and husband Kelly Hill of Rockwall, Texas; son Dane Jesters and wife Jessica Jesters of Coronado, California; brother Mike Jesters and wife Patty Jesters of Kilgore, Texas; and sister Deana Hutson of Kilgore, Texas. He is also survived by grandsons Kason, Karson, and Kaden Hill of Rockwall, Texas, and his first granddaughter, Josie Jane Jesters, who is expected to arrive on November 25, 2025, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Tommy loved Jesus, and his family finds peace in knowing that he is now walking the streets of gold in his heavenly home.
