MARION - Tommy D. Miller, 89, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, in SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Tommy was born on April 21, 1936, to Fred and Margaret (Darby) Miller in Carbondale.
Tommy devoted much of his professional life to Landmark Chemicals, where he excelled as a sales manager in the industrial chemicals industry. His remarkable career was characterized not only by his professional achievements but also by the lasting relationships he forged with colleagues and clients alike.
An avid enthusiast of trains, Tommy spent countless hours watching the locomotives traverse the landscape of Southern Illinois. His love for miniature HO model trains brought joy not only to him but to those who shared his passion. He also expressed his love for music by playing drums with various local bands, sharing his rhythmic talent and passion with friends and community members. Tommy also had a deep love for animals and enjoyed their companionship.
Tommy is survived by his sons, Tommy (Lucy) Miller and Michael (Jacqueline) Miller; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Miller; sister, Marilyn Miller; and brother, Robert Miller.
