Charlie Thomas "Tommy" Routh, Jr., age 51, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
Mr. Routh was born in Randolph County on September 15, 1971 to Charlie Thomas and Rosina Baxter Routh and attended Randleman High School. He was employed in the furniture industry and was of the Baptist faith. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Routh, Sr., brothers, Randy, Tim, and Kim Routh, and Dennis Brady. Tommy never met a stranger, had a big heart, and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to collect knives, turtles, and frogs.
He is survived by his mother, Rosina "Rose" Routh of Asheboro; son, Gregory Ashley (Kelli) of Thomasville; granddaughter, Amelia Ashley; siblings, Rita Johnson (Todd) of Franklinville, Timmy Brady (Wendy) of Asheboro, and Teresa Kirkman of Randleman.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
