Mr. Tommy Glenn Wright

Mr. Tommy Glenn Wright, 85, of Dewy Rose, GA passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center in Royston, GA. Mr. Wright was born in Blairsville, GA on December 21, 1939, son of the late Kimsey Owen Wright and the late Mary Young Wright. He was a strut line worker having worked for Monroe Automotive. Mr. Wright attended Emmanuel College to pursue a degree in ministry and served as pastor when Unity Baptist Church was established and later as the iterum pastor for Liberty Church in Dewy Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mize Wright; and daughter, Debra Alice Holmes. Survivors include his sons, Wilbern Owen Wright of Dewy Rose, GA and Robert Glenn Wright (Becky) of Bowman, GA; brothers, Kimsey Glenn Wright, Jr. and Don Owen Wright both of Suches, GA; sisters, Patsy Burrell of Blairsville, GA and Mary Ann Conner of Morganton, GA; and granddaughter, Amanda Wright Fuqua. Funeral services for Mr. Wright will be held in the Victory Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with Pastor Sean Baughman officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. During other times the family will be at their respective homes. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
