Tona Ann "Tonie" Blanks

Tona Ann Chavis Blanks "Tonie', of Shannon was born in Dillon SC to the late Rev. Leeromie (Bud) Chavis and Eva Locklear Chavis on Wednesday, October 31, 1951 and was born into eternity on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at her home, completing her journey of 74 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Anthony Blanks; one sister: Tammy Horne and one brother: Jimmy Chavis. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her bible and instructing people. She loved the Lord and wanted everyone to do what was right.
She is survived by two daughters: Dawn Michelle Locklear and husband Tracy III and Daisy Blanks both of Shannon; Three sisters: Joyce McMillan, Taffie Chavis and Patty Miday and husband Rev. Ben all of Shannon; two brothers: Danny Chavis and Rev. Donald Chavis and wife Wanda; two grandchildren; Kristin Jones and husband Larry and Rachel Hammonds and husband Alexander; two special women she raised and grandchildren: Brittany and Constance; two great-grandchildren Maddox and Lukas as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 7:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Boles Funeral Home in Red Springs, with the Revs. Jimmy Strickland and Hedrick Jones, officiating. The Visitation will (be one-hour prior the service) from 6;00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Boles Funeral Home in Red Springs.
Services has been entrusted to Boles Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Red Springs.
