Toni Berrong Obituary
Toni Mason Berrong went to be with her Heavenly Father on the morning of Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was born in Kings Mountain, NC, July 18, 1968 and resided in Bessemer City, NC.
A graduate of Bessemer City High School, Toni attended Grace Church. She is preceded in death by her father: Ralph Eugene Mason; grandparents, Lottie Jane Hinson Mason, Floyd Pinkney Mason, Pearl Shaw Pruitt and Paul Bethea Pruitt.
She is survived by her loving husband Jimmy Ray Berrong; two beautiful children, Alex Trevor and Dylan Matthew Russell, who were the light of her life; her mother Margie Lois Mason; sisters, Tina Mason Mullen, Tammy Mason McCarver and husband Rob; nephew Jordan McDaniel; niece Amanda Mullen; beloved cat Gabriel, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family who were much loved and cherished.
The family will receive friends at 6:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm, Friday, January 18, 2013 at Westview Baptist Church, 3385 Fairview Drive Gastonia with Reverends Scottie Cochran and Jerry Millwood officiating.
A trust fund for her children will be set up at First National Bank, 1225 Gastonia Highway, Bessemer City, NC 28016.

To my sister Margie and family, I just wanted to let you guys know that I love you and I am praying for all of you. It seems just a short while ago that I was talking to Toni on the phone and we were talking about the Lord. She and I were discussing about being a christian and I told her if I died I knew I was going to heaven. She told me there was no doubt in her mind that she was going to her heaven also when she died. It seems just like yesterday that she, Danny and I were at the walking track walking together and she and Danny were talking about the Lord. Toni even told me that day on the phone where it talks about God giving a person talents. She called me back later and told me where to find it in the bible. I always told Toni that I loved her and she told me the same before we hung up. I know that you guys have had a lot on you but just remember God doesn't put any more on you than you can handle. Just look at me what I have went through. I am living proof that God will bring you through this. Our father always has a reason for things that do happen but sometimes we don't understand. Toni wasn't afraid of dying. I think God figured she had suffered enough and he decided to go ahead and take her on home. I know Toni is at peace and she is not suffering anymore. Just think of the joy she had when she saw her dad, Roy, her grandma Lottie, her maw maw and her paw paw Pruitt, Louise and others in our family! I bet she went through heaven's gates just shouting!
