Age 73, died Thursday, December 26, 2024 at her home in Manchester. She was born March 26, 1951 in Detroit, the daughter of Edward and Ancie (Ealey) Shoemake.
Toni was a homemaker who focused on raising her children and adoring her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as "the warden".
On October 18, 1969, she married James T. Casey, in St. Clair Shores and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Randy (Renee) Casey of Chelsea, and Ricky (Dara) Casey of Manchester; daughter Tonya (Denny) Gajowiak-Casey of Hamtramck; son in-law, Louis Green; 13 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; brother Mickey Shoemake; and 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Green-Casey, brothers Charles and Edward Shoemake, and her sister, Peggy Ann Shoemake (Gomez).
A celebration of life / open house will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Chelsea Depot, 125 Jackson St., Chelsea, MI 48118, from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you simply join them to share memories.
