Obituary:

Tonja Renee' Barthold, born Tonja Morgan on December 23, 1964, in Wichita Falls, TX, passed away on July 30, 2024 in Ada, OK. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother.

Tonja led a fulfilling career in the banking industry, working as a bank teller for various institutions including Colonial Savings, 1st State Bank, and finally for 1st National Bank in Grandbury, TX until her health declined from Cancer in 2007. Her dedication to her work and her kind-hearted nature left a lasting impact on all those she encountered.

In her personal life, Tonja was known for her independence, strength, kindness, and unwavering love for others. She was a people pleaser who would go above and beyond for anyone in need. Tonja had a unique ability to see the good in people and spread positivity wherever she went.

Tonja is survived by her loving parents, Don and Delores Morgan; daughter Ashley Putman; son Brandon Barthold and his wife Samantha; her caring brother Gary Morgan and his wife Jacque; her precious grandchildren Addison and Lincoln; her nieces and nephews Tracy, Megan, Sophia, and Mike; her aunt and uncle Jim and Shirley Banks; aunt, Violet Brown; along with many cousins and a host of other family and friends.

She is now reunited with her grandparents Neta Shawrer, Willie Lawrence Brown, Addie Morgan, and Wilk Morgan; her uncles Carlton and Leon Brown; and her aunt Carol Ann Brown. Tonja's memory will forever be treasured by all who knew her.

A Funeral Service to honor Tonja's life will take place at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 6th 2024 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Jeff Jones officiating.  Interment will follow to Hewitt Cemetery. The service will be a time to celebrate Tonja's legacy and the impact she has had on those around her.

Pallbearers will be Don Morgan, Gary Morgan, Tracy Morgan, Jimmy Don Brown, Jimmy Banks, and Brandon Barthold.
