Tony Brooks

William "Tony" Brooks, 62, of Montpelier, IN, passed away after an extensive battle with throat cancer at 8:53 AM on Friday, June 10, 2022, at his home in Montpelier. He was born on Monday, June 15, 1959, in Hartford City, IN. He married Karen Kay Kessler on Saturday, September 29, 1984, in Hartford City, IN. Tony attended the Appalachia High School in Virginia and was a truck driver for 34 ½ years at Carter Express in Anderson. He was a member of the Montpelier Volunteer Fire Department, Bro Shadow Club, Moose Lodge of Hartford City, and the Blackford County 4H and Fair Board. He always helped with many benefit rides for several people in need.

He was preceded in death by his Father - William L. Brooks, Mother - Mary Ann (Graves) Wallisa, Brother - Randall Brooks, Sister - Kimberley Seibel, Stepmother - Alpha Brooks, Brother - Troy Wallisa, Mother-in-law - Mary (Tarr) Kessler, and his best companion for 17 years- fur baby Taco.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier on Monday June 13, 2022, from 2PM to 8PM.
A service to celebrate Tony's life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10AM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with Rev. Steve Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
