Tony Pereira DaSilva, 50, a resident of Waldoboro, Maine, formerly of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at his home.
He was born in Lowell on March 11, 1974, and was the beloved son of Fatima (Freitas) DaSilva of Lowell, and the late Alberto DaSilva.
Tony was raised in Lowell and attended Unity University in Maine where he earned a master's degree. After graduation, he made his home in Maine where he was close to nature and the adventures he loved. Tony felt immense pride in establishing and running his own masonry business. When he was not working, Tony enjoyed deep sea fishing with his good friends on their boat as well as many ice fishing adventures. He never passed up an opportunity to travel, no matter the destination. He was happiest when he was spending time outdoors in nature, whether he was hunting, hiking in the woods or rock climbing with his family and friends to appreciate the spectacular views at the top of the New England mountains. Tony loved his organic garden and shared the many diverse types of food that he grew with everyone. He enjoyed hosting gatherings and the time he spent with his family and friends, celebrating good times and joking around. Tony will be lovingly remembered for his bright smile and infectious laugh.
In addition to his loving mother, Tony leaves his brother, Justin DaSilva of Lowell, and his sister, Melou DaSilva of California; his aunts Milagros Viveiros and Magdalena Camara, his uncle Herbert DaSilva and his wife Carol, his uncle Luis Gomes, and his many cousins.
In addition to his father, Tony is predeceased by Antonio P. DaSilva, Isaura Costa, Almeirinda Gomes, Manuel DaSilva, Francisco DaSilva, Vital DaSilva, and Marilia Bettencourt.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 3 pm – 6 pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. His funeral services and interment will be held privately.

My condolences and deepest sympathy to Fatima, Justin, and Tony's extended family. Tony was a loyal and steadfast friend to many. He had a true zest for life, boundless energy, and an adventurous spirit. He was always moving forward, growing, and living life to the fullest. Tony worked hard, with great attention to detail and pride in his craft. His masonry heaters, fireplaces, and many other projects will stand as a testament to his skill and dedication, and he will be remembered often by those who enjoy them for years to come. Tony touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
