Tony Martin Obituary
Mr. Tony Russell Martin, 75, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born in Yadkin County on August 9, 1948 to Jim and Annie Ruth Martin. Tony worked for Josten’s Printing Company for 38 years. He was the greatest husband, daddy, and “Papaw Tony” ever. Tony will be deeply missed by everyone who had the special privilege to know him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandma, Lola Johnson and a sister, Charlene Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Linda N. Martin; daughters, Toni Lanette (Michael) Poore, Tina Martin (John), and Lisa (Dustin) Higgins; grandchildren, Brittany Cummings, Dustin Dudley, Nathaniel Poore, Brianna (Ethan) Henderson, Seth (Jess) Higgins, and Logan Higgins; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Dudley, Bryson Dudley, Brantley Cummings, Wade Henderson, and Raelyn Henderson; sisters, Linda (Steve) Smith and Donna Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:30 pm at Johnson Family Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Tyson officiating. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff from the Yadkin Dialysis Center and Dr. Christopher Marshall for the loving and compassionate care given to Tony and his family over the years. Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend is serving the Martin family.
