Tony accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. In his leisure time he enjoyed cooking, feeding his family and friends, he enjoyed lots of company, and he kept everyone laughing.
On Monday, March 31, 2025, Mr. Tony Jerome McDowell peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. His name was called and he answered and set free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie McDowell, his father, Eddie Joe McDowell, and two brothers, Leimon O'Neal, and John O'Neal.
Mr. Tony Jerome McDowell leaves to cherish his loving memories, his sisters, Carolyn (John) Green, Vickie Thompson, Tammy McDowell, and Donna McDowell, and his brother, David McDowell. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will cherish his memories forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 4PM - 6PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Pastor Lillie Davis is the Eulogist.
