Tony Porter Obituary
He was born on January 27, 1942 in Whiteland, IN to Harry W. and Mildred (Brewer) Porter. He married Mary Snyder. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter Sherry Lynn Porter Popplewell; granddaughter Sierra Lynn Popplewell Seacat; great grandchildren Isaiah, Tierra and Mickey. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Jill Annette Porter; sister Joy Tabeling; brothers Bill and Ed Porter.
Tony retired from American General Insurance after many years of service.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He was stationed in Saigon, Vietnam during his service.
Tony was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church in Franklin, IN.
A celebration of Tony's life will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026 at noon at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home 2898 N. Morton St. Franklin, IN 46131. Friends may call from 10:00am until the service time.
