Mr. Tony Smithson, age 58, of Lewisburg, TN, formerly of the Ash Hill Community, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in Franklin, TN. He was born in Maury County, TN. Tony was employed by Tennessee Department of Transportation where he worked as a highway superintendent. He was a graduate of the Class of 1984 from Page High School and was preceded in death by his Dad, William Crutcher.
Tony loved farming, raising cattle, and goats. He had a passion for tractors, which included tractor shows, tractor pulling, and dealing with antique tractors. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed every moment with them.
Mr. Smithson is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cindy Smithson of Lewisburg, TN; daughter, Jessica (Brent) Griffith of Murfreesboro, TN; mother, Joan (Loyd) Anderson of Spring Hill, TN; brothers, Troy (Jennifer) Crutcher of the Ash Hill Community, Ronnie “Mo” (Linda) Crutcher of the Ash Hill Community; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 10 am to 1 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Crutcher Cemetery in the Bethesda Community in Williamson County, TN.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
