Tony Lee Vaughan

Tony Lee Vaughan, 67, of Semmes, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was born in Mobile, Alabama, on November 21, 1957, to the late Robert Vaughan Sr. and Lois Wilson Vaughan.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Teddy Vaughan, and two sisters, Barbra and Sheryl. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Wanda Vaughan; one daughter, Lois ( Bugg) Vaughan; two sons, Shane Stacey and Ty Vaughan; his loyal dog Tippie; eight grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Aubrey, Landon, Julia, Italy, Jeramiyah, and Emma; one great-grandchild, Caleb Elijah; two brothers, Robert Jr. and Randy Vaughan; a special friend, Mike (Daphene) Woodson; good friends, Matt (Linda) Parry, Tommy (Debbie) O., Brad and (Terry) Hare; special niece and nephew, Justin (Bubba) and Christian Vaughan. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins will also cherish his memory.
Tony retired from McDuffie Coal Terminal, where he worked as an equipment operator. He had a passion for playing bluegrass and old southern gospel music on his guitar and fiddle. He enjoyed his 5 AM coffee at the Hickory Pitt in Semmes, AL. An enthusiast for vintage cars, he often participated in competitions, winning "Best of Show" or first place. He eagerly anticipated the annual Cruisin' the Coast event and could often be found tinkering in his workshop. His memory will forever be cherished.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Brittney Smith for her compassion during Tony's diagnosis. Also, the family would like to thank Providence Hospital for the care of Tony during his short stay. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
