Tonya Jo Branstetter, born on October 4, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 12, 2025. She is remembered as a strong and resilient woman who faced life's challenges with unwavering faith and determination. Tonya completed her education at Oak Park High School, laying the foundation for a life characterized by dedication and hard work.
Tonya made her mark in the restaurant industry, where she made a living waiting tables, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment to serving others. An outspoken individual, she possessed a vibrant personality that lit up any room she entered. Her friends and loved ones will fondly remember her as a fireball of a personality, always willing to speak her mind and call out wrongdoing without hesitation.
Above all, Tonya cherished her family and close friends. She was a devoted partner to her life companion, Daniel Hoffman, with whom she shared 23 years of love and commitment. As a mother, she took great pride in nurturing her family and fostering lasting memories.
In addition to her dedication to family, Tonya found joy in simpler pleasures, such as her love of fishing, which provided her solace and tranquility.
Tonya is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Marie Branstetter; brothers, Butch Jr., and Doyle Branstetter, and her dearest friend Sheri McIntire.
She is survived by her life partner of 23 years, Daniel Hoffman; children, Kaiyu Hoffman, Samiya Haidar, and Samantha McIntire; Grandchildren, Rowan, Destiny, and Amani; along with Sheri’s grandchildren, Cash, Xavier, and Leilani.
Those who knew Tonya Jo Branstetter will forever hold her memory close, honoring her strength, passion for life, and deep love for those around her.
