Tonya Renee Delk, age 47, of Brady, Texas, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, in Brownwood. Tonya was born on August 25, 1977, in Taft, Texas, to Elvis Ray Cornett and Donna Faye (Weir) Gattis. Tonya grew up in Waco and graduated from High School in Oceanside, California. She attended McLennan Community College in Waco and Texas State Technical College in Waco where she received her Licensed Vocational Nurses certification. She worked as an LVN for several years in hospital settings, nursing homes, and in private care.
Tonya's first priority in life was being the best loving mother she could be. She was big-hearted, family-oriented and everything she did revolved around her family. Her home was always open to her children's friends, many of whom referred to Tonya as "Mom." She was always willing to do anything to help someone in need. She enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed watching dirt track stock car racing. She loved animals, especially dogs, and she loved the holidays and decorating for each one. She moved from Lubbock to Brady in 2009. She married Kevin Delk on January 31, 2010, in Brady.
Funeral services for Tonya Renee Delk will be 10:00am, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.
