Tonya Heiple Obituary

Tonya was born in Augusta, GA, on May 31, 1955. She was raised in North Augusta, SC After leaving North Augusta she lived in Virgina, Washington State and Arkansas before settling in Haslet, Texas for the past 25 years. Tonya was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved photography, nature and enjoyed traveling, especially to national parks. Tonya was known for being an environmentalist and loved her family dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, W. A."Bill" Syms.
Surviving members of her family included her husband of 42 years, Keith Heiple; her beloved dog Bear; her mother, Dorothy Ann Edenfield Koonce; three siblings, Debra Syms (Susumu) Ryufuku, W "Baxley" (Terri) Syms and Frank Howard (Andra) Syms and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

My heart and prayers go out to Tonya´s family. Tonya and I were good friends and cheered together at NAHS. I wish I had been in touch with her to know she has lived in Haslet, TX the last 25 years. I lived very close by in Keller, TX for the same time. Will her celebration of life be in Tx or SC?
