Tonya Marie Mooney,37, born on February 24, 1987, in Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 8,2024. Her life was a testament of joy and kindness, as she was known for her infectious smile, loud laughter, and the unmistakable warmth she brought to everyone who knew her.
Tonya's spirit was vibrant and full of life. With a talent for singing and rapping, she could fill any room with music and laughter. Her silly dances and playful nature made those around her feel loved and appreciated. An unwavering friend, sister, daughter, and niece, Tonya was the reliable presence that many turned to in times of need. Her giving heart touched countless lives and will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Above all, Tonya cherished and adored her children and was always willing to do anything and everything they needed her to do.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ramon “Tony” Mooney; papa, Pete Boucher; and uncle, Gary Boucher.
Survivors include her children, Gage Jenkins, Hailee Jenkins, and Lakelyn Jenkins; mother, Beverly Boucher Mooney; sister, Jennifer “Lulu” Wiley (Zach); brothers, Chris Mooney (Tess), and Steven Mooney; grandmother, Leila Boucher; nieces, Kaydence, Arayah, and Roslyn; nephew, Damien; special friends, Kent, Wendy, Jocelyn, and Austynn Delahunt, and Fynlee Thompson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 6 – 8pm. A funeral service will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 10am with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
