ASHFORD, AL… Tracey Leigh Odom, a resident of Ashford, Alabama, passed away Saturday evening, July 8, 2023, at the home of her sister. She was 57.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with family and friends giving eulogies. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Odom was born in Ogden, Utah to Marsha Lund Odom and the late Captain James E. Odom. She lived most of her life in Ashford, Alabama. She graduated from Ashford High School in the class of 1983. Tracey has had many occupations throughout her life. She has worked at the police department, as a paralegal, peanut inspector, many jobs helping people do whatever they needed, such as house cleaning, database creator and bookkeeper. She often talked about jobs she enjoyed in the 80’s at the Sheraton Hotel and as a model. She really enjoyed modeling. She also custom designed and sewn clothing and costumes. The occupation she was most proud of, was that of being a mother. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, spending time outdoors. She could often be found gardening, tending the yard, tending the yards of others, and being outdoors with her horses. She enjoyed many things that kept her hands busy, such as drawing, crafts, sewing, jig-saw puzzles and photography. She also enjoyed playing the violin.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Alexa Weber (Ryan) of Manchester, Iowa and Krysta Kroeger (Jordan Haun) of Cowarts, AL; her mother, Marsha Lund Odom of Dothan, AL; her sister, Paige Odom of Webb, AL; her grandchildren, Suzie Weber and Macie Weber; and her grandchild due in three months, Baby Girl Weber.
