Tracey Leigh Scruggs, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 12, 1969, Tracey lived a life full of love, support, and encouragement for those around her.
Tracey was not only an amazing mother and grandmother but also a dedicated supporter of her family’s passions. She cherished her role as a wife to Timmy Scruggs, and together they created a nurturing environment for their children, Beau, Kayla, Codey, and Bridget. Tracey could always be found at the racetrack, cheering on her family, who shared a passion for drag racing. Her unwavering support extended beyond the track; she made it a point to attend every sporting event for her children and grandchildren, showing them that their endeavors were important to her.
In addition to her supportive nature, Tracey had a vibrant personality that allowed her to connect with anyone she met; she was known to never meet a stranger. Her warmth and genuine interest in others made her a cherished friend to many. Tracey also enjoyed selling Mary Kay beauty products, where she found great success and built lasting relationships with her customers.
A proud grandmother, Tracey adored her grandchildren—Brooklyn, Aubrey, Brylan, Logan, Madilyn, Hunter, and Kobie—and took immense joy in spending time with them. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and love, and Tracey was at the heart of it all.
She was preceded in death by her father Jimmy Wayne Roland; mother Judy Kate Moulton Roland; brother Paul Wayne Roland; granddaughter Rayleigh Nicole Scruggs.
Tracey is survived by her husband of 37 years, Timmy Scruggs; her children, Beau (Kurstie) Scruggs, Kayla (Jessie) Richardson, Codey (Beth) Scruggs, and Bridget Scruggs; her sisters, Amy Michelle Brown and Penny (David) Ledbetter; and her cherished grandchildren. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her kindness, spirit, and dedication.
