Edgerton, WI - Traci Jo Nelson, 59, of Edgerton, WI passed away peacefully, with her family surrounding her on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison, WI. Traci was born on June 8, 1966, in Janesville, WI to Beverly and Gerrold Woods. She married Scott Nelson on July 3rd, 1999, in Prairie Du Chein, WI. They loved camping and spent a lot of time in many campgrounds and motorcycling throughout Wisconsin. She loved everything clean and tidy, with a towel on her shoulder. Over the years she showed her love-language by cleaning many people's homes. She had a special green thumb and absolutely adored her plants, and every year had the most beautiful flowers surrounding their home. She spent her time with family and friends. She loved her 4 grandchildren and being with them and their various activities. And she had a special place in her heart for animals. She had a very large variety of animals that she was passionate about.

Traci is survived by her husband Scott; her children: Sarah (Wesley Brandt) Kjendlie, Samantha (Curt) Gilbertson, and Weston Nelson; grandchildren: Talim Kjendlie, Treyvin Tracy, Isaac Tearman, and Maverick Tearman; siblings: Linda (Dave) Winke, Michael (Cheryl) Woods and their children; as well as cousins she loved to spend time with. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Billy.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 20206, at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
