Tracy Asberry, age 58, of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his home. He was born March 3, 1966, in New Castle to the late Donald & Alma Jeanettia (Thomason) Asberry.
Tracy was 1985 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School in New Castle where he excelled in athletics. He was honored for his accomplishments of the athletic fields by being inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame recently. He continued to love and support New Castle Athletics. He was a simple man who enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and playing softball as an adult. He was known as a "chill" kinda guy.
Tracy is survived by his children; Victoria "Tori" (Lewis) Poe & Drew Asberry: grandchildren; Wynter Asberry, Roman Poe & Spencer Poe: brother; Tony Asberry as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends survive.
Tracy was proceeded in death by his parents listed above and brother Troy Asberry.
Memorial visitation for Tracy will take place on Monday June 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 Broad ST in New Castle. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Davis officiating.

Tracy worked with me at the previous Logo Athletic building on the east side. He was such a nice, gentle person who was already ready to help. He often talked of his children of whom he was really proud. Prayers to his family, I am privileged to have known him.
