To the Barnes family:
My deepest thoughts, prayers, and condolences go to her husband, daughter, sons, and grandchildren during this difficult time. You all were truly her pride and joy, and I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared.
I was blessed to work with Mrs. Barnes at CCPA. She was always helpful, kind, and cheerful, consistently going above and beyond to support both teachers and staff. Her dedication and warm spirit made a lasting impact. Thank you for sharing her with us. She may be gone, but her memory and influence will never be forgotten.

Working alongside Tracy (Tray Tray) in the front office at CCPA was one of the true highlights of my time there. She brought warmth, patience, and a genuine love for people to everything she did-whether she was helping a student, greeting families, or simply brightening our mornings with her smile.
Even after we no longer worked together, her friendship remained steady and kind, a reminder of what it means to care deeply and to live with grace. Tracy had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued, and her memory will continue to do the same.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Love & Prayers to the family!

As a new teacher at CCPA I met Tracy. She was such a light and always offered a laugh. She had nicknames for everyone...she called me "Mookie Poo" and I called her Tray Bae...I can still hear us laughing at each other every time we would call each other these names. Sending you all love and peace because to lose a light this great, is painful. May you find peace in her memories, stories, and may she always leave you signs that she is still with you!

OMG!!! I cannot believe this! This physically hurts my heart! "Barnsey" was the sweetest, funniest, kindest person! She was the perfect person to welcome people when they arrived at CCPA! I was lucky enough to call her a friend and even after we left and went our separate ways I would still run into her and we would give each other the biggest hugs, catch up on life, and just laugh. I will truly miss her! Rest easy in heaven my dear friend

Neil Hardy

January 6, 2026

My name is Neil Hardy, and I worked with Tracy, at the main 5/3 branch, downtown on 5th Street, from 1997-2002. Although I hadn´t seen her, in now 24 yrs, she was always in my thoughts. She was as funny as she was caring and matronly. Her departure stings, deeply, and I´m saddened that she´s no longer here. God bless Tracy and her family.
