Tracy Edith Corbin, 68, of Fairhaven, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on October 1, 2025.

Born on July 19, 1957, in Washington, D.C., to Emily (Prendable) and John Corbin. Tracy grew up in Alexandria and Mount Vernon, Virginia. She attended Fort Hunt High School in Fairfax and graduated with the Class of 1975.

Tracy's lifelong love for animals began early. As a teenager, she worked to ride horses and formed a special bond with a horse named Shane, whom she was eventually able to call her own. A gifted rider, she carried her passion for horses throughout her life. Tracy also provided professional pet grooming and pet-sitting services, known for her natural connection with animals-who always seemed to love her in return. She especially adored her own pets, including her dog, Sassy, and cat, Ricky.

In 1999, Tracy moved to Fairhaven by the Chesapeake Bay, where she made her home with her daughter, Erin.

Tracy was a devoted mother, and lived a life full of curiosity and learning, embracing many hobbies and interests over the years. She was an avid reader, a woman of strong faith, and most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. Including John Jaynes, Paula Schlicter, Julie Thames, Mike Kelly, Sally Ellison, Scott Parker, Kathy Parker, Jim and Janet McCarthy.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Erin Ellison McCarthy (Jimmy), and her granddaughter, Grace Ellison McCarthy. She is also survived by her siblings Erin Burhman (Rob), Robin Kelly, John Corbin (Claudie), and Catherine Ahmad (John); along with nine nieces and nephews, and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Emily Corbin, Terry Ellison, Rick Ellison, and Neil Kelly.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, at 11:30 a.m. at Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church, 885 Cox Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639. Following the service, a celebration of life will take place in Fairhaven at 6553 Clagett Avenue, Tracys Landing, MD 20779.
