Tracy Deide

Tracy LeAnn Deide, our loving daughter, sister, aunt, and partner, left us on March 20th, 2026. A bright light to all who knew her, extinguished too soon. She was born on January 20th, 1970, in Santa Rosa, California, and was raised by her father, Del Deide, and stepmother, Lois, along with her mother, Judee Babington, and stepfather, Jack.

Tracy lived life fully and freely, embracing each day with an adventurous spirit. She inherited a deep love for the outdoors from her parents and spent her early years camping, hiking, and skiing in Idaho, later continuing those adventures throughout the Pacific Northwest. She loved to travel-whether it was a meaningful trip with family or a spontaneous road trip with her partner, David-always following wherever the moment led her.

A vibrant and creative soul, Tracy expressed herself through her art. She worked with paint, wood, glass, and countless other materials, always seeing beauty where others might not. Her creativity was not only a personal passion but a gift she generously shared with those around her.

Her generosity and compassion were evident in the way she gave her time and energy to others. Whether preparing meals or contributing goods and services to those in need, Tracy quietly built a legacy of kindness, warmth, and care that will live on in the lives she touched.

Tracy's heart extended far beyond people alone. She had a special love for animals, particularly cats, and was devoted to her beloved companions, Bentley and Murphy, who returned her unconditional love every day.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judee Babington; her stepfather, Jack Babington; and her stepsister, Kristen Kennedy.

Tracy is survived by her father and stepmother, Del and Lois Deide; her brothers, Brent (Kelley) and Scot (Michelle) Deide; her stepbrothers, Tim (Laura) and Jason (Sannee) Vincent; her stepsisters, Jaylene (Jim) Seamons and Cara Royal; her uncle and aunt, Darrel and Ladonna Deide; her life partner, David Comstock; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Tracy's life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Tracy's name to The Humane Society for Tacoma & The Salvation Army.

Tracy, you will be deeply missed but will live forever in our hearts and the lives of all you touched.
