Tracy L. Tallberg, affectionately known as "Trace" passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on September 27, 1969, in Duluth, Minnesota, Tracy was the beloved daughter of the late Walter C. Tallberg and the late Betty Kay Brannan Tallberg. She leaves behind a legacy defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit.

With a life defined by courage, love and laughter, Tracy was respected and admired by those fortunate to cross her path. Her infectious smile illuminated every room she entered; a smile so genuine, beautiful and welcoming it remains unforgettable to those she has left behind. A fearless soul who embraced life passionately, Tracy easily befriended people wherever she went, touching countless lives.

Tracy's life was marked by her remarkable service to her country. A proud veteran, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy following her graduation from Northwestern High School in 1987. After proudly serving her country aboard the USS Acadia during Desert Storm, Tracy continued her service as a military contractor with top secret clearance in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Europe. She cherished her opportunities to support those in uniform and dedicated herself to missions rooted in courage, integrity and honor.

For Tracy, life was an adventure. Blessed to find her soulmate early in life, she and husband Joe Lassen, Jr., spent 33 years together. They raised three cherished children-Damien, Brody and Paige-whom Tracy loved deeply and supported unconditionally.

Family was paramount to Tracy, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure her loved ones felt valued and cared for. Known for her spontaneity and generosity, Tracy loved surprising friends and family alike-always showing up with unexpected gestures of support, affection, and humor. Her genuine wish was to ensure the happiness of everyone around her, sparing no effort in uplifting others and bringing joy.

Outside professional endeavors, Tracy pursued life with enthusiasm and adventure. She found joy in traveling, always seeking new horizons and creating meaningful memories wherever she roamed. Tracy's love of motor bikes, developed from her youth while spending garage time alongside her cousins, was a passion she shared with her three children.

Tracy found happiness in the simple pleasures. Her compassion extended to every living creature she encountered. True to her nature, Tracy was known for helping stray animals wherever she found them. Kindness was her hallmark.

Tracy is survived by her devoted husband Joe, their three children Damien (Leslie), Brody and Paige (Gavin), Conyers, Georgia; stepsons Wesley Stork, and Bobby Stork Covington. GA; sisters; Cheryl Downs, Lisa Tallberg, Karen (Randy) Silverness, Superior, WI; Suzie (Greg Jones) Tallberg, Merritt Island, FL; half siblings Jerilyn (Dave) Reed, Lebanon, OH; Barb Sharon, Tony Sharon, Superior and Tim Crom (Tony Becker); Menominee, WI; sisters-in-law, Vera Phillips, Covington, GA, Cindy (John) Iacozili, Cortland, OH, and brother-in-law Jesse Jackson, Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Tracy is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Joe Lassen Sr. and Lois Lassen, half-brother Tim Sharon, nephew Billy Downs IV, sister-in-law Jo Jackson.

In lieu of traditional remembrances, those wishing to honor her memory may consider monetary donations in Tracy's honor to the Rockdale County Animal Services, 506 Rockbridge Road, Conyers, Georgia 30012 or making acts of kindness in their communities, reflecting Tracy's spirit of love and generosity. As we gather to honor her memory, let us cherish the laughter, love and joy she brought into our lives. May her light continue to inspire us, and may she rest in eternal peace.

Though she's no longer with us, Tracy's legacy lives on in every life she touched, a testament to a remarkable life well-lived.

My thoughts go out to Joe and the kids. I met Tracy in the Navy, and we reconnected through FB about 10 years ago. I loved her stories of going back overseas as a contractor. She really could light up any room she walked into. I was blessed to call her my friend. I will miss her.

My deepest condolences to all of Tracy´s family and sisters. She was fun and spirited in her youth and I love hearing how she continued those traits. What a shock to hear of her early passing. I met Tracy and Joe at Durhamtown Plantation Off Road. I crashed on my dirt bike and broke my collarbone. Tracy and Joe ran over to help me. Not only did they bring me to the hospital but they loaded my bike and truck up. They are the most incredible people I have met. I´m so sorry Joe.

This is truly so sad to hear. My sincerest condolences to her family.
Tracy and I grew up together, from preschool on the Bluebus to walking together for Graduation from high school. Got to reconnect and catch up when she was training down in Fort Worth.
She truly is one of the most amazing women to have come out of Wentworth, WI.
Her husband, kid's, and rest of her family are in our thoughts and lifted in our prayers.

There are no words to describe the pain of losing my chosen sister.
We have shared so much together in Afghanistan. Faced danger together, had adventures, shared tons of tears and even more laughter.

We always strived to bring happiness into the lives of all those around us and by gosh we made a great team. Our halloween bbq´s in the middle of a war zone were legendary.
I am sure everyone knows Tracy´s capacity of love and compassion.

My gratitude to have had her in my life is endless. I look forward to the day we meet again.
My prayers are also with Joe and the children. My deepest condolences to all her loved ones.
May my beautiful sister be blessed with eternal peace in paradise.
With love,
Betty Tali
