Trandafir "Nick" Neiconi, born on March 17, 1940, in Hateg, Hunedoara, Romania, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, at the age of 85.
Nick was a man of quiet passions and diverse interests. His love for reading transported him to worlds unknown, while his fascination with astronomy allowed him to gaze upon the stars with wonder and curiosity. A lifelong enthusiast of trains, he found joy in their intricate designs and the stories they carried across miles. Sudoko puzzles offered him challenges that he embraced with enthusiasm, sharpening his mind with every solution. With a deep appreciation for history, Nick spent countless hours reflecting on the past and its impact on the present. His garden was a testament to his nurturing spirit, where he cultivated not only plants but also peace and tranquility.
Nick is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Jean Neiconi, who stood by his side through all of life's journey. Together, they created a loving family, blessed with children Teresa (Bill) Livezey, Karen Neiconi, Nicole (Jason Colburn) Neiconi, Andrew Neiconi, and Ashley (Adam) Marshall. Nick took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Chase Colburn and also is survived by his step-grandchildren: Jacob Livezey, Felisha Benge, Jared Livezey, Jesse Livezey, and Tristian Livezey.
Though he is no longer with us, Nick's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy is one of love, curiosity, and a life well-lived.
