Traudl Hedwig Elisabeth Flock

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Traudl "Lisa" Hedwig Elisabeth Flock, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Traudl lived a life marked by intellect, grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

A lifelong student of the world and healer, she brought warmth and wisdom to her work and her community through her 40-year career as a family physician. Her passion for knowledge was matched only by her devotion to her family, who were the center of her world.

She is predeceased by her mother, Gisela (nee Heiden) and father, Heinz-Rudolf.

She is survived by her devoted husband Jack Dinsdale, their four cherished children Michael, Christopher (Julie), Blair (Katie), Shaina (Alan) and ten adoring grandchildren (Orion, Livia, Viktoria, Adam, Riley, Logan, Miles, Corinne, Axel and Violet) who brought her endless joy and pride. Traudl also leaves behind her beloved brother Bernd (Karin) and two dear nieces (Heidi and Kati). She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, along with countless others whose lives she touched with kindness and generosity. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the knowledge she shared, and the love she gave so freely.

An uplifting celebration of life will take place on October 4th from 2pm to 5pm at Heydenshore Pavilion (589 River Street, Whitby ON). A presentation and speeches from loved ones will commence at 2:45pm followed by light bites, joy and laughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Traudl's memory to Oshawa General Hospital where she worked during her career and received her final care, or Sunnybrook Health Sciences where she trained and received treatment.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
