Travis Wayne Brown

HURDLE MILLS: Travis Wayne Brown, 48, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home in Hurdle Mills. He was born in Orange County. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wayne Brown; baby Taylor; and niece, Christy.
Travis helped look after his mama and brother Todd whenever they needed him. He worked for the Department on Aging for Orange County for 13 years. He loved the elderly, even cried when one of them would pass away. Travis worked for Durham Tech Security for almost 13 years, where he took pride in his work. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and was so proud of them, along with his step-dad Larry and step-brother Robbie as his own. He loved his music, playing the piano and singing. He had been in several southern gospel groups in his earlier days and put a lot of love and time into his family tree, going back many generations.
Mr. Brown is survived by his mother, Dianne Borland Glosson and husband Larry; daughter, Samantha Brown Callaway and husband Scott; sons, Nikolas Brown and wife Shelby, Jordan Brown and wife Elva; brother, Kenneth Todd Brown; beloved best friend, Naomi; grandchildren, Makenna Callaway, Meredith Callaway, Bellamy Brown, and Elliot Brown; nephew, Christian Johnson; and niece, Arianna Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 22nd at Clements Funeral Chapel in Hillsborough. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00pm. A burial will follow at Walnut Grove United Methodist cemetery.
