I am so broken by Travis´ loss. He was not only my manager but also my friend. Because he was younger, I expected to have his kindness and his biting humor much longer in my life. I was looking forward to that, actually, since I´m at an age where losing my mentors and my friends is now commonplace. Losing the younger ones and favorite students I have taught -- well, that stings. Travis was a wonderful addition to life and a bright spot in my days. His family has every right to be proud of him.
