Travis Glossenger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory on Dec. 6, 2025.
Travis Howard Glossenger, a cherished father, son, brother, and beloved coach, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in La Porte, Indiana, at the age of 48. Born on October 12, 1977, in Michigan City, Indiana, Travis's laughter and creative spirit were a gift to all who knew him.
Travis was the son of the late Kenneth Glossenger and Pamela Smith, who survives him. His life was a testament to the love he had for his family, including his mother; his children, Brianna Maitland-Glossenger, Arianna Rojas, Gage Leon Glossenger, August Glossenger, Ivory Pratt-Glossenger, and Travis "Tony" Glossenger; and his separated wife, Carla. He was a guiding light to his siblings, Trista, Trevor, and Stephen, and an inspiration to all of his nieces and nephews. Travis was predeceased by his beloved son, Gage Leon Glossenger, and his grandsons, Cilas Anthony Gage and Atlas Javier. His legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren: Athena, Axel, Leilynd, Junior, and Celeste.
Travis's professional life was marked by his exceptional talent as a painter. His work graced many homes and businesses throughout La Porte, earning him a reputation as one of the top painters in the area. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his commitment to his community, where he was actively involved in the La Porte Parks Department. Travis's passion for sports also led him to become a cherished baseball and softball coach, guiding and mentoring many young athletes, including his own children.
Beyond his professional and community contributions, Travis was a man of many interests. He had a profound love for music and expressed his soul through writing and performing rap. His talents also extended to art, where he captured the beauty and complexity of life in his remarkable drawings.
Those who knew Travis will remember him for his loving nature, his unparalleled sense of humor, and his boundless creativity. He was the best dad to his kids, whom he loved immensely. Now, as he reunites with his son in Heaven, his family takes comfort in knowing that he will continue to watch over them with the same devotion and love he showed in life.
Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100, is caring for the arrangements.
