Travis Brian Lance, 52, of Mt. Victory, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home.
Travis was born in Urbana, Ohio, on November 24, 1972, to Larry and Candy (Smith) Lance.
Travis is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Betty and George Park, and paternal grandparents Gahlen and Kelleen Lance.
Travis is survived by his children: Alexis (Cody) Castle of LaRue, Ohio, and Nickolas Lance of Kenton; the mother of his children, Terri Lance of Kenton; a grandson Garrett Castle; father Larry (Norma) Lance of West Liberty; mother Candy (Troy) Hanley of Huntsville; siblings: Braden (Mandy) Lance of Kingscreek, Greg (Kathleen O’Brien) Lance of Columbus, Chris (Elizabeth) Lance of West Liberty, Jennifer Hanley of Russells Point, and Shawn (Holly) Hanley of West Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1991 graduate of West Liberty – Salem High School, Travis worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for many years with Southeast Hardin Ambulance District. He was a member of the Mad River Masonic Lodge, York Rite Bodies, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon – Forest #188. Travis was a longtime fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the West Liberty United Methodist Church, 202 E. Newell St. West Liberty, from 11am to 12 noon. A masonic service will be held at 12 noon, and Pastor Rod Brower will officiate Travis’s memorial service at 12:30pm. Private family burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society, 205 Palmer Ave. Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
