Travis Nolcox, 75, of Princeton, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 23, 1950 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to Sheldon Lafon Nolcox and Vivian Maxine (Lyles) Nolcox. He earned a B.S. in Education from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and worked at Gibson Generation Station as an Offsite Resource Coordinator for over 30 years. Travis had a heart for community service serving on the North Gibson School Board for 20 years, being a member of the Soil and Water Conservation District, Farm Service Agency, Gibson County CEO Program, and the Princeton Tiger Athletics Department. He was also a member of Waymen Chapel AME Church and was an amazing, son, father, uncle, and friend to so many. He was a hard worker and well known for his deep love for others and his "sweet black Cadillac". Travis never met a stranger and was loved as a father figure by even extended family members. He was deeply loved by all and will be missed by many.

Travis is survived by his mother, Vivian Maxine Nolcox of Springfield, OH; children, Lyle Nolcox (Stacie Obert) of Hazleton and Shelley Lynn Taylor (Juan) of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Sean Manns, Blakelee and Mavrix Obert; aunts Zola Solomon and Wordie Nolcox; nephew, Aaron Nolcox (Kristen); great-nephews, Princeton and Khai Nolcox; great-niece, Alanna Nolcox; and a special friend, Shelly Shamsaie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sheldon Lafon Nolcox; wife, Terry L. (Houghtaling) Nolcox; sister, Colette Nolcox; and uncles, Alfred Solomon and Waldo Nolcox.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery near Lyles Station. Visiting hours will be held Sunday at 4 until 7:00 PM and Monday from 10 until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayman Chapel AME Church, North Gibson Education Foundation, and The North Gibson Athletic Department.
