Travis William Salo, 36 of lone, Washington passed away on April 25, 2025 of a tragic accident. Travis was born on March 27,1989 in Missoula Montana to Bob and Marian Salo. Travis attended Hellgate Elementary and graduated from Big Sky High School. While in High he was in band and on the golf team. He was a member of the National Honor Society. He then went on to get a medical assistant degree from the University of Montana. Shortly thereafter a friend of his convinced him to try out for the Border Patrol, which he excelled at and enjoyed immensely.
Travis enjoyed golfing, hunting and just hanging out with his friends Nick and Brian. Travis was an agent with CBP and was looking forward to transferring back to Montana to avoid out of state hunting fees.
Survivors include his parents, sister Katie, several aunts and uncles, Jeanne (Lyle) Fuson, Gary (Paulette) Salo, Terry (Dianne) Salo, Gary (Vickie) Polakow, Harold Polakow along with many cousins. He was preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents.
Services will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025 at Garden City Funeral at 1 P.M. A private burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Garden. Services will be conducted by members of the Border Patrol.
