TRAVIS SAMSON Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Feltner Funeral Home - Lyndon on Oct. 10, 2025.
Osage City - Travis Lee Samson, 39, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on March 18, 1986, in Polson, Montana, the only son of Allen and Jacqueline (Roach) Samson.

Travis served in the United States Army for 11 years and was discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Life Church in Wichita.

Travis was one of a kind. He was intelligent, funny, witty, creative and compassionate. To know him, was to love him. His deep love for the Lord and his family was undeniable. His children meant the world to him and were his greatest joy. Travis had a passion for music and was gifted with the ability to serenade his family with his guitar. He was an avid reader and artist with a love for science and philosophy. Travis was often seen sporting his Philadelphia Eagles gear as their number one fan! Go Eagles! His passing weighs heavily on our hearts as he was taken too soon. Gone, but never forgotten and dearly missed.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Allen; by his maternal grandfather, Leland Roach; and by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Shirley Samson.

Travis is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Samson of Osage City; his five children, Gabriella Samson, Malachi Samson, Olivia Samson, Chance Goslee and Hailee Goslee; his three sisters, Heather (Shane) Ehrlich of Wichita, Stephanie (Mike) Rissen of Lyndon and Emily Samson of Osage City; his maternal grandmother, Eleanor Roach of Osage City; his nieces and nephews, Candice, Corbin, Jada, Alex, Addy, Carter, Kendall, Waylon and Blake; along with other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Tuesday, October 14 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will follow in the Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Travis Samson Memorial Fund, sent in care of the Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
