Funeral services for Mr. Travis Wayne Smith will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the sanctuary of Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Sellers and Bro. Keith Runyon officiating. Burial will follow at Bakers Chapel Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, March 31, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Smith, 75, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Travis was a longtime business owner of Travis’ Pallet Company from 1989-2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Almond and Alma (Martin) Smith; daughter, Tonia Stoltz; sister, Doris Smith.
He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of many with his kind heart and unwavering support. He is survived by his wife of 56 1/2 years, Cynthia (Tate) Smith; son, Shannon Smith and wife Beth; grandchildren, Lauren, Layne, Macy, Grace, and Pierce Smith; great-grandchild, Lyddiah Smith.
His family was the heart of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them, sharing laughter, love, and countless memories.
