Travis Rupert Stewart of Arcadia LA, entered into heavenly rest to be in the presence of Jesus on June 20, 2025. He was born in Arcadia on January 29, 1950, and was a resident there for all of his life. He was employed by Virginia Shehee at Kilpatrick Life insurance.
Travis is preceded in death by his parents, Rupert and Gladys Stewart, brothers, Larry Thomas Stewart and Bobby Wade Stewart, Sr., and sisters, Dora Virginia “Binky” Stewart Sims, and Gloria Jean Stewart Long.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Paula Krouse Stewart, and his daughters Maryann Elizabeth Stewart and Janie Maria Stewart, and grand-dog, Sadie Blue. He is also survived by sister, Sheila Stewart Delony of Byhalia, MS, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
To know Travis was to love Travis. He was a friend to all and a faithful man of God who led his wife and daughters with Christian wisdom and prayerful guidance.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church, Arcadia, at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, with the funeral service following immediately at the church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. William R. Collins, brother-in-law, will officiate. The interment will be at Arcadia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Stewart, Jr., Brad Cutlip, Jacob Cutlip, Jay Delony, Jeremy Delony, Jamin Butcher, Cordell Collins, Nathan Hayes, and Samuel Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be James Anderson, Tommy Frye, and Glynn Kohler.
A special thanks goes to his caregivers Kimberly Jenkins and Andee Fountain. They were a God-given and valuable part of Travis’ care.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church Arcadia Children’s Ministry or donor’s choice.
